About me

Every person has their own unique story. Here is a glimpse into mine.

My name is Vess Dimitrov, and I was originally born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria. Architecture & art have been a passion for me since very early childhood. My teachers & coaches have thought in me great qualities such as integrity, humility, patience, persistence and hard work, all leading to an eventual good outcome.

I graduated from a school for building construction and architecture in Sofia and served my army term. In 1997, my parents and I moved to the United States to Cleveland, Ohio. In 2004, I received my master’s degree in architecture from Kent State University. In 2005, I was hired at one of the most prestigious firms in the state of Ohio, where I spent a year working on very prominent projects. In 2006, I decided to move out of Cleveland, and had accepted a job offer from another big firm in Seattle. In 2008, I became a LEED Accredited Professional, and in 2017, my professional architectural licensing process came to a successful completion. Over the years, I was exposed to many great opportunities to get involved in various architectural project types, interfacing many different challenges on a number of levels that ultimately have shaped me as a professional with a broad experience of more than 15 years.

On a professional level, I have always strived to reaching a point where architecture not only meets its mandatory utilitarian basis, but moves beyond that level thus leaving a permanent positive impact upon communities, cities, society as a whole, creating a platform and inspiring present and future generations to achieve higher results in different areas and aspects.

My love and passion of nature has always been an integral part of my life, keeping my spirits uplifted, maintaining a balance on a personal level, making me aware of how powerful nature is and the lessons we can learn from it to better ourselves and respect its entirety and beauty.
